Entries for New York Bakery Co.’s Global Energy Race are now closed!

The race is fully sold-out, but please come and support the runners at the beautiful Rother Valley Park in Sheffield on Sunday 23rd September.

We hope to see you next year for another amazing event!

Following another great event in 2017, The Global Energy Race is back for a 3rd year running! This year we are positioning the run as the ‘Race Against Hunger’ as we work in partnership with the Trussel Trust to for fill their vision: To end hunger and poverty in the UK.

The race will once again take part in the beautiful Rother Valley Country Park, Rotherham.

In partnership with The Trussell Trust, the mission of the race is to support the charity – raising both awareness and funds - and therefore entry is FREE for 2018, the only entry fee we ask for is a small charity donation to The Trussel Trust.

For every single kilometre run by you, we, The New York Bakery Co, will donate one bagel to local food banks. The more you run, the more bagels we will donate.

The race welcomes ALL, whatever your ability. There are three distances on offer: the family and individual 3km, individual 5km and individual 10km. So, whether you are a beginner looking to stretch your legs or an experienced runner looking for a PB, The Race Against Hunger welcomes all.

For the competitive runners amongst us there is an amazing prize on offer. The winner of the 10km (male and female) will win a trip to the Global Energy Race host city for 2019, for them and a guest of their choice.

Last year’s female winner Lindsy James:

"The New York Bakery Company Global Energy Race was a great event for the whole family. Professionally run, with a friendly atmosphere and plenty of extra activities for the children to get involved in to make it a superb day out for all."

Last year’s male winner, William Mycroft:

"The New York Bakery Company Global Energy Race was a great event last year with lots of support on the course and fantastic organisation. You get a free post-race bagel and the sun even put in an appearance. The race prizes are amazing, not many races offer a trip to Rio!"

Join the race and be a part of a global initiative that sees 35 cities in 23 countries across the world take part.

There is no registration fee – just one small donation to The Trussell Trust per racer.

We expect this event to sell-out so make sure you sign up early to avoid disappointment. Early bird is open until 2nd July.
