Q.How many editions of the Global Energy Race have taken place?


A. The Global Energy Race has had 3 editions (2016, 2017, 2018), with 2019 being the 4th.


Q.Who can participate in the Global Energy Race?


A. The Global Energy Race is open to all, providing a family friendly event that we would love you to come and experience.

Q. What date does the Global Energy Race take place?


A. The Global Energy Race takes place on September 22nd, 2019.


Q. What race distances are available?


A. 3km individual and family events, and 5km and 10km individual events.


Q. What is the prize?


A. The fastest male and fastest female overall runners in the 10km distance for each country’s event wins a trip for them and a friend to run in the 2020 Buenos Aires Global Energy Race.


Q. What does the Global Energy Race support?


A. The Global Energy Race fully supports foodbanks and related charities local to each event, with 2 slices of bread donated to foodbanks for each kilometre that is run.

Q. How do I request a refund?


A. As all of the entries for the Sheffield 2019 Global Energy Race are donations towards out charity partner, The Trussell Trust, refunds will not be available as all funds will be transferred to them to allow them to continue to fight against food poverty.


Q. Is it possible to change the race distance that I am registered for?


A. Contact us through the Message tool on the Global Energy Race Facebook page if you would like to make any alterations to your race entry.


Q. Is it possible to change the city that I am registered to run at?


A. Contact us through the Message tool on the Global Energy Race Facebook page if you would like to make any alterations to your race entry.


Q. When do I get my race number?


A. If you register before 23/8/19, your race pack including your number will be posted to you at the address you provided during registration. Any entries 23/8/19 will need to collect their race packs from the event village on the morning of the event.


Q. What time do I need to arrive?


A. Allow plenty of time for parking and making your way to the event village for the start of your race. If you need to collect your race pack, ensure you arrive earlier to allow time for this. (insert exact timings later).


Q. Can I receive a club discount?


A. As this is a charity event, raising funds for our partner The Trussell Trust, club discounts will not be available. However, the event already offers exceptional value for money with an included t-shirt, medal for finishers, and more, for a low price.


Q. Is parking available on site?


A. Yes, parking is available on site. Marshals will be on hand to direct you once you enter Rother Valley Country Park.


Q. When will results be published?


A. We will strive to have live results available throughout the event, however they will remain as provisional results until the timing team have had chance to fully review the timing data and ensure it is fully accurate before declaring them to be the final results.


Q. Can I do any more to help your charity partner, The Trussell Trust?


A. Of course! We will be collecting any food donations that participants, supporters and spectators wish to bring with them on the day, with the aim of having as many meals donated as possible. If you wish to donate further funds, links will be provided.
