HOT HONEY HALLOUMI & AVO BAGEL
A sweet-heat twist on a feel-good classic. Think molten-gold halloumi fresh from the pan, lush creamy avocado and a warm drizzle of fiery hot honey stacked on an Original New York Bakery Bagel. A vibrant, flavour-packed bite that brightens any day.
Ingredients
- 1 New York Bakery Original Bagel
- 60g halloumi, sliced
- ½ small avocado
- ½ tbsp lemon juice
- A few pomegranate seeds
- A few pumpkin seeds
- 1 tsp hot honey
- Salt and pepper
Method
- Heat the olive oil in a non-stick pan over a medium heat. Add the halloumi slices and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, until golden and crisp. While still warm, drizzle over a little hot honey and turn to coat so the halloumi absorbs the flavour.
- Toast the bagels until lightly golden and warm through.
- To assemble, layer sliced avocado onto the bottom half of each bagel. Top with the hot-honey halloumi, then scatter over chilli flakes, pomegranate seeds and pumpkin seeds.
- Finish with the top half of the bagel and serve immediately while everything is warm and perfectly melty.
