  • 2 New York Bakery Co. Original Bagels
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 x 250g minute steak
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Bagel Build

  1. Thinly slice the onion and cook with 1 tbsp oil over medium heat, for about 30 minutes, until soft and caramelised. Keep warm. Clean the pan and heat another tbsp olive oil over high heat.

  2. Season the steak and cook for 2-3 minutes per side – you know how you like your steak. Take out of the pan, rest for 5 minutes, then slice.

  3. While the steak is resting, toast your bagels. Mix the mayo and mustard and spread on the bagel bases.

  4. Layer the lettuce, tomato, steak and caramelised onions, then top with the rest of the bagel. Dinner à deux.
