  • 3 slices smoked salmon
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese (a generous schmear, of course)

  • Squeeze of lemon (that finishing kick)
  • Pinch of salt and pepper (go on, season without fear, it's the New York way!)
  • 4-8 thin slices of cucumber (for a refreshing, crisp bite)

BUILD IT

First things first, slice that bagel in two and get it toasted. We're talkin' golden brown, with the ideal crisp-chewy balance - exactly how a New Yorker likes it.
